Finally, as promised some photos!
This is some of the clearings from the chainsaw massacre, still to be cleared away and burnt.
Inside the white gate(seen in previous photo) the heather is in bloom with snowdrops behind it and daffs coming through
.
View of the heather from my bedroom window.
As you go in the wee yew hedge gate is the plum tree, not finished the wall yet.
This was totally overgrown with shrubs, the apples trees were getting strangled.
Some of the beds cleared and you can see the new rasp bushes have been planted.
Taken from the other side.
Greenlady wielding the axe!

She has got sore shin Nanny, where a stray piece of wood flew off the axe!
It's about 2 acres including the house Aqui, lots of work but we're getting through it by all working together. |

You certainly DID pitch up in the perfect spot didn't you Kathy? Having all the family there shares the workload and you should be able to feed yourselves from the kitchen garden from this year onwards. You're all working incredibly hard there by the look of things. _________________ http://codlinsandcream.blogspot.com/ |

One thing I will say about all this is that I built a house in my dreams, lived in it, created a garden, really focused on it for a number of years on a daily basis. It turned out even better than I dreamed but is proof (for me anyway) that you can change things for the better with focused attention, (if you know what I mean). |
