I've owned a painting, avery handsome one, for about 25 years. After my A levels, I was convinced I'd fail, so moved out into a rented appartment in Weymouth. The very elderly neighbours were unable to cope and their place was a very sorry mess indeed, so I gave a hand to clean up for them. They insisted I take something in return, (I was 18 then, and 43 now), and tonight I googled the artists name...........................
He is on display in the Tate, and in California. His works on average sell for between 1000 and 10,000.
WOW! Lloyd thats a stunning work of art! I'd be well chuffed to have that adorning our walls! good luck with a valuation.
I have a "Cowper" back in coventry and came to a dead end really tracking it down properly
I've heard of Cooper before you never know you might be in for a seriously plesant suprise _________________ Life Is BRILL When You Have Genuine friends & The Odd Stalker & Many Guests!
once you have it valued, will you insure it and hang on to it, or sell it? _________________ life is so short, you have to embrace every opportunity that comes your way, even if you only try it once.

lol I used to love that programme even as a kid... damaged me for life it did that's why I'm addicted to second hand shops now
The subject matter of Lloyds picture is a total seller, love the eye's its seriously hard to find artwork with a good likeness of the eye's.
Good choice you made there lloyd _________________ Life Is BRILL When You Have Genuine friends & The Odd Stalker & Many Guests!
I really don't know what to do with it yet, I'm in financial meltdown right now and a fat cash bonus would be mighty handy, but I love the painting so much I'd prefer really to keep it. The artist painted an almost duplicate one year before, and Christies sold that 12 years ago for £1300 or so. I imagine that buyer would be willing to pay a lot to have this one alongside it...................
