Me too - I think it's brilliant.  A great mixture of humour and drama too.

Yes, absolutely glued to it.  I've blown the dust off the little 1930s copy of Cranford I had in my literary collection, so am reading it at bedtime now.  Very droll.

never read any elizabeth gaskell myself but what a wonderful programme it is.....

only the beeb can do period drama like that
