Valentines Day and the frogs have been busy!!!!! I took this about 07.30 this morning!!
This is the earliest ever! Last year was 10th March!!! I don't suppose this will survive! Sad really! _________________ "If we reduce the amount of stuff we allow to accumulate in our lives, we won't have to organise it"

We've had frogspawn for a week or so now - it has just thawed out from the ice - we had it early and frozen last year and they all seemed to hatch out. _________________ www.overthegate.co.uk
Last year even though it was on the 10th March, that got frozen and it died, luckily we have lots of frogs and spawn so some did survive!! _________________ "If we reduce the amount of stuff we allow to accumulate in our lives, we won't have to organise it"

Ours haven't started yet - and yet last year they had laid by the end of January. I heard them "calling" in December, but nothing happened, so I reckon it must have been a few frog-blokes jumping the gun. It's amazing how the tadpoles survive being frozen - I suppose it's just like suspended animation. _________________ http://codlinsandcream.blogspot.com/
Well, I wrote that and then two days later I noticed EIGHT lots of frogspawn in the wildlife pond, so "hush my mouf"!! Last night it sounded like the African Savannah out there, as the main (fish) pond is now full of amarous frogs - they were really loud! _________________ http://codlinsandcream.blogspot.com/
We have suicidal frogs - we keep finding a pair being........ well you know........... just inside the chicken run. Don't they realise chickens like to eat them?
Suppose their passion gets in the way of their brains
