As you know I am not a big fan of horses, I admire them from afar. But I am a big fan of Nanny and Mr Nanny who work so hard and tirelessly, through thick and thin at Lluest.
I wondered if, as we are such a close knit forum, we could come up with an idea to help raise funds that maybe we could do as a group.
What do you think? Any ideas? _________________ "If we reduce the amount of stuff we allow to accumulate in our lives, we won't have to organise it"

We could have a section where people auction items which they don't want anymore and any proceeds go to the charity, this is what we do on the dog rescue site where I volunteer, it's also a good motivation for clearing out stuff that isn't need anymore!
Does anybody have a b+b or holiday cottages? You could auction a week or long weekend holiday? This can generate quite a bit of money.
Hmm....what else, the usual....organise a local car boot, sponsored something or other...I'll have a think for more ideas _________________ Life is not a journey to the grave to be arrived at in a beautiful and well-preserved body, but rather to slide in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and shouting "Wow! How about setting up a new section for fundraising, having an 'auction' bit for people to put on items to sell and if anyone has any other ideas we can add them to the section? I don't mind moderating this, though we are moving house next week and apparently have no phone line, so may be offline for a few days! _________________ Life is not a journey to the grave to be arrived at in a beautiful and well-preserved body, but rather to slide in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and shouting "Wow! Great idea Libby. An auction sounds good, we could auction items, skills or holidays as Coco suggested.
eg, our caravan is old and worn out but we store it on a nice little site half an hour away from here.
We would be happy to go and set it up for anyone that would like to stay in it. The cost of a pitch is just £11 per night for however many people, dogs etc want to stay. So for a visit to this part of the world for a change, it would be much cheaper (but more uncomfortable!) than staying in a b&b.
I like all of these ideas but wonder if our forum is big enough?
I sell stuff on Ebay and can donate a percentage of what I sell for to LLuest details here which I am happy to do.
Nanny can you register Lluest here _________________ "If we reduce the amount of stuff we allow to accumulate in our lives, we won't have to organise it"
