Grrrrrrr. I'm very cross. I had an appointment to see a knee consultant on the 25th. I moved from Kent 4 months ago and have had to start again with the hospital appointments. My other knee is giving me some pain know and it is affecting my Line Dancing, which i do as a form of excercise. Having waited this long and made arrangements with my agency to not work on that day, they have now CANCELLED it!!!!!! I have another one on the 6th November!!! To top it all i have found out that the hospital i will go to has the WORST cleanliness record in the county. Apparently the 'c.diff' bug is rife there!!!! I might just go on suffering for the hell of it. Laughing

Oh what a pest Janowl. Is there anything non-medical that can be done for your knees?

I have an appointment with an osteopath next week - which was brought forward by them from the second week of November Shocked I think they must have had a cancellation...

I had a phone call on Wednesday inviting me to have my appointment this afternoon

Brilliant.

I do feel for you janowl and would feel just the same - disappointed and concerned - I hope it all works out well though.

Positive vibes coming your way.

Hi. Apparently, when i lived in Kent, the consultant said that there was no point giving me anything as it wouldn't work. Bearing in mind the first op. i had on my knee, ws a complete failure, and when i saw the consultant he said he knew it wouldn't work!!!!??? Six weeks later i go back to work none the better for it???!!That was an Arthroscopy. When i went to the doctore here for a frozen shoulder, he told me to take Ibrufropen as it would help my knee as well!!!!!???? I give up. Rolling Eyes Crying or Very sad

Hi. Thanks for your concern. I hope it all works out ok for you. At least one of us will be coming along nicely. It's unusual for them to be early with an appointment. Laughing Surprised

Went to see the consultant yesterday and he gave me an x ray on my hip as well as my knee. The hips were fine. He is going to do my knee replacement and the waiting time is 18 weeks which brings it up to March time. There were students in the room as well, and the conversation they were having about me was frightening. They taked about all the things that could happen, and i took a big gulp and the consultant laughed. He is very experienced and has a good sense of humour. So we will wait now and see if they keep to their word, not that i want it done, but if it helps then it will be fine. My daughter thinks i'm mad, but when it's done i might at last have a good nights sleep.
