I have finished two jumpers, first one is from Colinette Yarns, point five, colour; mist. Poppy picked the yarn, I think 2 years ago, we starting winding the yarn into cakes in the car and then I started knitting as soon as I got home. It was a very fast knit, but it has taken ages to sew up (probably because I was being fussy). Finished about half an hour ago. She is so chuffed I have finished it and couldn't wait to put it on.
The second little cardigan should have been finished for Poppy to take to Barcelona last summer, just as well this girl hasn't grown, because it will be fine for this summer. A SKD design using Paris cotton. Finished a week ago.
Showing sleeve detail (I made the sleeves slightly shorter than stated).
The beret is the one doing the rounds and then I designed a scarf to match. The yarn is one I dyed for Poppy, with poppies in mind, hence the colours, at the workshop that I went to in the summer. Finished just before the white cardigan. She loves them both and wears them alot.
oh what nice things you,v made Jacky, you are so clever,i used to do a lot of knitting but cant get into it at the moment. _________________ dont judge me,accept me for the way i am.
What a wonderful model and a lucky girl having those lovely things knitted for her. Have you got the pattern for the beret?
Browneyes, I'm a bit like that at the moment, 3/4 through the dishcloth and I've run out of steam, most unlike me as I usually love knitting.
Kathy the pattern I have knitted was bought for me off the internet as a christmas present. However there is this one, which is very similar and very pretty, free from Knitty.
For those who knit but do not think to look on the internet, this is a fantastic, free on line magazine with years of great patterns (under archives).
Lovely knitting and very pretty daughter !! _________________ "One to rot and one to grow, one for the pigeon, and one for the crow!"
