I made my own picture today.  I bought a cheap wooden frame from Wilko's and then painted it.  I put in a piece of wallpaper that I will be putting on one of the other walls, and put it on the plain wall.  It looks quite effective.  Also painted a mirror to match.

That sounds really good janowl, and a good value way of brightening up a room.  I'd love to see a photo too  Smile

I have friends who are picture framers and quite a lot of the pictures on our walls are pieces of wrapping paper or birthday cards that I particularly liked, which I get them to frame (at mate's rates!).  I like them all a lot and they look none the worse for being something else before  Smile

I wish I had a mate who framed pictures as I often get cards which should be framed and not shoved in a drawer!!!
Maybe I should take it up. I mean how hard can it be  Rolling Eyes

I've never made a picture frame but would love to know how to.

Depends on what picture frames you like, but it is quite simple to do.  There are a variety of shops that do frames.  My favourite is Wilkinson's, and they can then be adapted to how you want them to look.  I saved some old calenders from years ago that I have made a picture out of.  My favourite is wallpaper, but wrapping paper sounds good as well, as there are so many patterns available now!!!

Sounds lovely.

I usually buy picture frames from the charity shops. Although people always seem to give us loads for christmas - I have about 5 or so still not used!
