Well that's that - I'm officially a lady of leisure now!  We went out for dinner last night, after a swift pint with the chaps after work, and now I don't know what to do with myself!  I've taken the dogs for a longer-than-normal walk but I twisted my back so I can't get on with the hundreds of things that need to be done in the house.  Hey ho - I better have a day lazing around  Laughing  Laughing

Have a great day everyone  Very Happy

Jacky, I *think* I'm happy with it, although there were tears yesterday.  It just feels a bit odd at the moment, but I'm sure I'll adjust.  I expect I'll be looking for another job in the fullness of time...

I'm sure your dogs will well pleased to have you at home Lizzie and you could learn a new craft or crafts!

Just off to visit parents, Mother needs help with Photoshop and at 78 she's not the easiest person to help. However, I applaud her for even attempting these things at her age!  Laughing

To be honest Kathy, I think I'm disturbing their day - Millie keeps coming up and peering at me - "What exactly do you think you're doing here at this time of day?"  Smile   We had a long walk this morning though, so Penny's been asleep all day!

Well done your mother I say - mine wouldn't even know how to switch a computer on and refuses point blank to us the mobile ... and don't get me started on Dad  Rolling Eyes   I love them to bits but sometimes ...    Laughing

I'm sure they feel the same about me!

our dogs didn't like it when we were home on a day we shouldn't be...it interrupted their routine you see .....good luck my dear and enjoy a few days leisure while you can

at half past 3 this morning after i had had to get out of bed to let lucy the greyhound out (it was raining last night so she obviously decided it was the right time for her ablutions) i was lying there in my bed wide awake and the twist in the pirate plot came to me...it was a revelation

so as it was intemittent rain more or less all day, i sat at my 'pooter and typed away for several hours and worked my way through the part of the plot i have been stuck on for a week or two....

i also managed to write the article for the british spotted pony society, about 1200 words about what has been going on here since easter and about the 3 spotties we have here on the farm...

i shall leave it now for a week or so and then look at it again to see what i need to change and then send it off before the end of the month.....

mr nanny was out all day- till about 3 anyway and then we had some shopping to do.....

quite chilly tonight but i have the woodburner going so not so bad in here...i am striving to use less coal this year...i use big woodburner briquettes and mix wood on top but last year i think i erred on the side of caution with the briquettes and it got a bit pricey so this year i am attempting to use no more than 3 and make up the rest with well seasoned wood, i have a fair amount tucked away that is over a year old so it might work....
