My future daughter in law has been in terrible agony all week.  Cutting a long story short, she was admitted to hospital, with what looked a stroke at first.  Then she had what looked like a whiplash injury, so the doctors say,  but had no reason for it, and then they decide she has to have complete bed rest, as she has a prolapse of 2 discs in her neck.  Then all of a sudden they send her HOME!!!!!!!   My son took her to the doctor who promptly sent her back to hospital!!!!!!!   With no warning at all they sent for to go to Oxford, some 70 miles away, where they have a neurology dept.  We couldn't understand as she was saying to us that they thought she had a clot on her heart as well, but we don't know where that came from.  They checked in last night and today she has had 2 discs removed from her neck, and they have replaced them with what they call cages!!!!!  The doctor at the first hospital should lose his job, as the x ray clearly showed the problem and he totally ignored it.  The surgeon at Oxford, the doctor, and my son will be reporting him to the correct higher authority as this person could have be paralysed for LIFE!!!!!!

Good gracious Janowl, poor girl, I do hope she makes a full recovery and that doctor gets sorted out. Healing prayers coming her way.

She is doing well, but she is a drama queen.  She has the hospital staff running around her right left and centre.   She still has times when her eyesight goes for a split second, but the doctors say that it is because the disc was pressing on her spinal cord and that should be ok in time hopefully, and she says she can't feel her leg and her arm, but when the surgeon asked her to press against his hand she could do it but refused to do it for the nurse, and told her to come back later!!!  She is trying to do things too quickly too soon.  But hopefully she will soon be feeling better.

I think being a drama queen is sometimes the only way to get attention, when the doctors and nurses are so busy...I'm glad she's improving.
