The guy on the next plot to me isn't getting on too well, and is on a written warning to sort his plot (desk type who thought it looked easy) so the other day I gave him some spinach and carrots.
Today he brought me a bag of sloes! Yippee...!
Aldi on the way home for some gin and now all I have to do is shake it until crimble!

The sloes are pretty much ready at home too - there's a whole hedge of blackthorn where I walk the dogs - so we'll have to get picking.

We make sloe vodka (I can't stand gin!) but it's exactly the same method - yum  Very Happy

Oh yes! But I didn't do it with a thorn from the blackthorn or a silver pin; had to be stainless steel I'm afraid!
