My son was visiting his old haunts in Kent at the weekend and went to see a friend of his in Dartford.  On the way home he had a moped go across him the wrong way round a roundabout.  He hooted the bike who stopped right in front of him.  That was a mistake!!!!!  From behind an old van appeared and it had a smashed windscreen!  The driver was wearing a bandana over his face!!!!!!  Paul tried to get the mopeds number but couldn't catch up, only to find that the moped drew alonside of him and kicked his winged mirror off!!!   Then both vehicles forced him to stop!!!!! He managed to get out of the way of the wrench that was thrown onto his car and badly dented his wing. The van then drove into him.  Again he got away and the moped was behind him again, so he breaked hard and the moped rider fell off, only to pick himself up and wheel his bike across the road.  Now then!!! The moral of this story is......  He lookeded like he was targeted, not because he had a high powered car, but because he had a sat nav on his windscreen.  The police said he should of stopped as the driver fell off, and they couldn't take finger prints of the wrench as it wasn't a murder!!!!!!  They said they could do him for speeding and not stopping!!!  The moped was registered to somebody living local but the van was not registered!!!!  Paul didn't see the riders face but his girlfriend did, and is willing to pick him out if need be!!!  They didn't take him seriously.  His girlfriend said that he shouldn't of tried to get the reg. number, but I told her I would of done the same.  As soon as he had the number he backed off.  One badly damaged car and a vary shaken couple.   You never stop worrying about your children do you?  Even when they are grown up!!!

Its always the same isn't it. The police say you should stop, but had you, chances are you'd end up with your head caved in  Rolling Eyes  can't win!! Its always the attacked who get the blame nowadays!!!!!
I hope they are both OK now!

Sounds like a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" situation. Might have ended up a lot worse though. I think your son should formally complain to the IPCC. It doesn't take a murder to get forensics to take fingerprints to check for matches on the national database, after all. And a victim of crime is being threatened with prosecution to boot.

I think your'e right Lloyd. It's a no win situation.  Whatever he did wouldn't have been right, but I don't think he is going to leave it there.  He's just waiting for them to contact him again!!!!  Probably got a long wait too!!!
