Our kids are past the age where we have to entertain them in the school holidays but living on the coast we get invaded by family members who seem to feel that we are only there to entertain them Shocked
I don't mind a couple of days/nights and we went out for a very nice meal with them last night. What I don't want is for them to be dropping in on us every night this week and expecting us to sit and drink/socialise until the early hours. We have to get up at 7am for work every day - they have a lie in every morning and have a 'nap' in the afternoonin their caravan.
Grrrrrr Evil or Very Mad

When we moved here the first thing my Father said is "You'll have to sort out a guest room". I've a lot of relatives who would take advantage as they do to my sister (she complains bitterly but doesn't know how to say no. I told my Father there wouldn't be one, visitors are welcome to pop in for a cuppa but they arrange their own accommodation and entertainment. I suppose it depends on the visitors really, some people I wouldn't mind having for an overnight stay but I'm not getting into the situation where I'll be used by relatives for cheap holidays when I know they can afford to pay.

We've just said "Good Bye" to my OH's niece, husband and two boys 1yr and 3 yrs. It has been hard to say the least His niece is very good and does lots but gets no support especially when it comes to discipline so their eldest boy is a terror in the making.
But much like it is good to have the beaches here I don't really have the time to spend 6 days in a row on the beach and two days making visits, but my girls wanted to go so off I went and then had to come home and feed them all and still do the washing etc. while my OH opted to work for the week. Who is the mug?
