Things your mother/grandmother used to say......

Whilst waiting impatiently for my first baby to be born and feeling more than a little apprehensive about the impending birth, my grandmother gave me some of her pearly words of wisdom that she had been told by her mother.

"My dear girl, the plum won't fall until it's ripe".

And that was it. I thought it was going to be some really useful advice about childbirth or something Laughing

Bless her!

I've never had pearls of wisdom from my Mother but she did come into the room one day and say "I've got this horrible cardigan..........I thought I might give it to you"......................

Rolling Eyes Not much you can say to that is there?
