Had a lovely day out to Warwick Uni yesterday, an impressive place, quite modern compared to other uni's we've been too. The only thing that worries me is the accommodation for 2nd and 3rd years. Warwick the Uni is in quite a posh area, talk about Footballers wives houses on the road that takes you to the Uni, massive, with big electrical gates!!!!
So all 2nd & 3rd year accommodation is a very good bus ride away in Coventry (a bit rough I believe), Leamington Spa (expensive and popular), Kenilworth (quiet). Just that T is not good on buses Rolling Eyes  we will have to see. Currently only one more to see...... Swansea.

Lots to do in the garden today so must get busy!!!

I always think Warwick looks like a lovely place Libby - shame the accommodation is so far away.

Another day at my desk for me today, then decorating after work then home to finish the socks I'm knitting for a friend (I promised they'd be finished by the weekend  Rolling Eyes ).  The suns out at the moment but we're forecast for heavy rain and thunder - with any luck we'll have a power cut at work and have to go home  Laughing

Have a great day everyone  Very Happy

Libby - so whichh is the favourite uni at the moment?

JC - hope you get your powercut!

Had to rearrange the living room this morning now J can climb onto the sofa - he kept using it to climb onto the windowsill. goodness knows what we'll do when he can climb onto the other sofa as it's used to protect the books. the cushions are slightly higher as it's not used so much.

not much else doing today. just waiting for him to wear himself out enough for his nap.

Hello folks.  Smile

Libby, my older sister went to Warwick and she stayed in Coventry, that was in the 70s! I remember going to visit her and being quite envious of her freedom (I was still at home) knowing that I wouldn't get to uni as I was considered the "not so bright" one of the family.

Aqui, it does get quite hair raising at this stage and you'll need eyes in the back of your head!

Hope you're back home Jellycat.  Smile

Nice that you met up with Mark Lloyd and enjoyed your excursion.

Becki, how's Samson coming on?

Merlin has improved a bit but is looking a perturbed now. Everything seems to be healing up well. I've been sorting essential paperwork this morning and giving E a weaving lesson. She now has a bag half made, should have it finished by tomorrow night.

It's a beautiful day here and all the sheep have been moved so I'll get the dogs across the field. I can't manage them all on the lead so this makes it easier for me.

It's nearly Friday for you workers who need cheering up.  Very Happy

Well Samson seems alot better to me. He has been quite lively this week, nearly back to his old self, I was so pleased to feel it I was giggling while he was trying to canter up the side of the field. He coughs, like he's clearing his throat and then dosn't do it again. He is still on his inhaler twice a day. We are still taking it very easy.

I hope everyone else has a great day Very Happy

acqui you have to hang everything from the ceiling out of reach as they will have it all .....

poor merlin kathy....they always seem to recover quicker than we mere humans......i bet most men would be less inclined to leap round if they have the same op.....

after yesterday's excitement the day was a bit anticlimatic.....and it rained for most of the day as well so couldn't play outside much...was going to rinse and acidify the deerskin but have to get some more vinegar so occupied myself before lunch doing more 'pooter work and phone calls for the Trust and sorting out who is going to which event on saturday

after lunch i helped mr nanny and the volunteer groom to make some floor space in the tack room and throw away some of the worst rugs....we still have plenty but some are just beyond repair now so you have to be bold enough to chuck it out....

so another day gone....should be mr nanny's day off tomorrow but he has to take a horse to someone and we will have to sort out the gear and load the truck for saturday so apart from a quick shopping trip, that will be it
