Well it's quite warm here - not quite summery, but nice anyway!

I didn't go swimming this morning but I have been to cast my vote (I was first at our polling station!).  Because I missed swimming I'll be home in time for dog walking this afternoon, which'll be nice - it feels like I haven't been for ages.

I've got loads to do at work today so I'd best go and have breakfast and get on with it!

Have a great day everyone  Very Happy
Becki

There's another beach ride today but I won't be going. He was tired yesterday and I'm starting to panic that I might be too heavy for him. The vet said he was unfit when I had him vetted but after 4 months he should be ok now shouldn't he?
Anyway we will go for a plod round the farm instead.
I also have to muck the stables out properly because although they stay out now, they still get messy. The field also needs sorting, I might try and do a couple of barrow fulls.

Have a good day.

BTW Run faster Libby!!!! Laughing

Libby, it is sunny here, so it must me summer Rolling Eyes   It feels like it will rain though, so who knows.

I am supposed to be going to the sheep market today, with a friend, to see how we mark up last years lambs, ready to sell next week.

Later oldest has swimmig club, and then I have a govenors meeting.

No idea what is for tea, but will give it some thought in a min!

Becki - I'm sure you're not too heavy for him - he's a big boy. It does take a long time for them to get fit.

It seems that going to vote was too much excitement for J. He's got himself all in a tizzy because he's now overtired and won't have his nap. He's currently looning about. I've tried relaxing him, didn't work, so now I just have to wait until he goes through this cycle and really wears himself out. Lunch is normally after his nap, so it's going to be a late one for him today (I have already eaten!)

Got asparagus in the veg box this week. hooray! I saw it in the supermarket the other day. British asparagus season and where do they get it from? - Peru. argh.

uh oh - "lunchtime" nap started at 4pm. I wonder when he'll go to bed tonight. Had to take him out for a walk to get him to sleep and then it started hailing and thundering. eek.
Kathy

Hello, had to go into the dreaded town this morning, was there for what seemed hours. I was exhausted when I got home and fell asleep at the kitchen table.  Shocked

After my impromptu nap I made bread, walked the dogs and sorted out a camping stove.

It takes months to get a horse properly fit Becki , you're not too heavy for him!

Aqui, Coco never had an afternoon nap, stayed awake all day from about 6 weeks old! Some babies start staying awake all day quite early, do you think he's starting not to need that afternoon nap?
nanny

lovely and sunny here if a tad chill

managed to use up all my wood so can't make anymore net panels till more wood arrives tomorrow and we are out tomorrow as it is mr nanny's day off so it will have to wait till saturday

equine dentist was in today....very nice man, does it with an electric thing that is a lot quicker for the horses .......he did 8 of them and only had to pull one tooth and that was barney but at 26 you expect that.....

trying to organise a fund raising concert that a local male voice choir will do for us so looking at a public venue that has lots of people.....swansea market looks favourite at the moment if i can get a date from the choir that will match the dates at the market....not always an easy thing to do

looking forward to tomorrow to see a different horizon .apart from voting this avo and my course on monday in the village i haven't been off the property for 10 days i think..........
Kathy

another strange day, working my notice now so feel a bit of a spare part.

We had a friend around for a meal this evening, she lives on her own after being widowed and caring for her mother.  Lovely evening, she is very lively and chatty but am ready for bed now.  Not  used to so much nattering on a work day evening!!

Long weekend coming up so hopefully will have a bit more energy.
Kathy

(((((HUGS))))) CP, it's always hard leaving a job isn't it, you've been there a long time haven't you?
Cabbagepatch

12 years Kathy, a good job with security etc etc.

But the last two or three years the work has changed and so have I so time tomove on however scary it is.   All that stuff about "better the devil you know, the grass is always greener, what  if I regret it"  etc etc.

So, I'm taking a leap of faith!
Kathy

Well you've always sounded pretty "in tune" with what's good for you so I'm sure you're making a good move. Are the hours the same?
TheGirlsMum

Had a hospital appointment yesterday, had my feet moulds taken so some new insoles to be made to try and keep my feet facing in the right direction. I'm to be booked in for physio for my knees and she was surprised how little movement I have got in my re-constructed foot. I had to remind her that I was very lucky to have it attached at all and 15 years ago was not promised any certainty of ever being able to stand on it let alone walk. So someone is looking out for me.
