1st October, the autumn is my favourite time of year, natures rich bounty and all that.  Something special about gathering and storing things away for the winter, stacking up the firewood and preparing to batten down the hatches.

This autumn so far has been beautiful, a real Indian Summer.  Happy and hopeful days Potties x
nanny-now and forever

hello all

didn't make it yesterday, too much going on yesterday evening....

today though, was much nicer...mr nanny hid away to do his thesis on horses feet (exciting for him i guess) so i virtually had a day on my own and made good use of it by making chutney, a job that always takes longer than you think it is going to do...mind you, the smell of vinegar and onions is very good for the sinuses...

never really finished that till gone 1 then i worked upstairs on the 'pooter for a while doing e-mails etcc and some research trying to see if i really want to do a creative writing course...well i guess what it really comes down to is if i want to use some of my precious savings to do it....i found some stuff wot i wrote when i was in the writing circle before we moved here and i have picked it up again...the pirate story, do you recall kathy?

i have found a course on line but have to decide ....

gypsy, the horse that was in the ditch seems to be recovering ok though she has a swollen eye and a lump behind one of her front legs, both proabably caused by thrashing around in the ditch....

the tractor is still in the field, as mr nanny was off today, it wasn't going anywhere...
