by Glennie Kindred. A lovely little book full of recipes made with what most people would call weeds. There aren't any colour plates so it would also be useful to have a pocket identifier for the plants you don't know. The book is in seasonal sections. I'll post bits and pieces from it when I have time.
Dandelion root can be thinly sliced and used for stir fries, soups, stews and as a coffee substitute. There's a good article here about harvesting and making into coffee.
Wild rose, also known as dog rose, for salads, rose petal jam and wine.
Bovey Belle
That sounds a lovely book. I used to pick the wild rose rose-hips and make syrup from them, though I've not done it for a few years now. Still have some in the freezer from last year, when T asked me to pick some for her to use. I never thought of Dandelion root in any other useage except for coffee substitute.
Borage - add the bright blue flowers to salads, fruits salads or fruit cups. It's also good candied.
Pansy and Primrose - Use in salad and as a garnish. Both can be candied or frittered
Jack by the Hedge - Mild garlic flavour, can be added to almost anything.
