very well done fish, does this mean we'll see more of your work now that you can post pictures? that brings back childhood memories when we used to play down by the river.

They are lovely. Why not turn them into cards and get local shops to sell them. Or maybe the school could sell them.

the one of the school i got 25 prints done sighned and numbered,1 and 2 went to teachers that were leaving, and the rest went for £10 each for school funds, making £230! ime not in a position to give to the school but i can do stuff like this.

I don't know anything about art really but those sketches are very nice, they sort of draw (no pun intended) you into the place.

The first one took me straight back to summertime, splashing about, a picnic, the sun shining etc.
Thank you, happy days

They are great!!! The first one reminds me of Pooh sticks bridge and 100 acre wood! I have played poohsticks there

i think thats exactly what a picture should do,conect with others by being some where you know or could picture being there!
the day i did that one we cycled there in the blistering heat, with the smell of blackberries in the hedgerows, skylarks way up in the blue.when we got there it was like getting to the promissed land, the water was achingly cold at first!we splashed each other and the boys screeched.soon we had our first heat of pooh sticks, followed by sandwitches and ice cold home made ginger beer!
then a frantic search for the ultimate skimmer stone! then more pooh sticks.

My favourite bridge is somewhere in the Peak District, and marks the boundary between three counties, I think. I have always had an obsession with damming rivers, and usually given half a day, I'd be able to make a noticeable rise somewhere
Then as you said Fish, there's the search for skimmers, great fun

Stones for skimming? Bound to find a few amongst these . . .
This is from one of the "pebble beaches" along by our local river.

P.S. I also meant to say, what lovely drawings. I used to dabble my toes in a little roadside stream in the New Forest, and your first picture brought back memories of those happy days.
