Air Rifle Problems

I recently bought this as a solution for gathering my own fresh meat:

but due to a not unheard of technical fault the rifle has to go back to the factory, since once discharged it cannot be recharged! Rolling Eyes

BSA have very kindly agreed to collect it, repair and return it to me at no extra cost to me. Then the fun will start.................. Wink

My almost antique Relum Tornado weighing in at 9lbs. has taken a lot of game and a lot of puff to carry around but i wouldn't swap it for the world, had it for 40 odd years. Wink Laughing Cool

Older air rifles were so simple and low tech in design though that there was little to go wrong, apart from a spring weakening. A bit like older firearms or shotguns. Modern stuff has far more components, which are less tried and tested in the field.

I have run out of greens courtesy of all the bunnies not being despatched!!!

No fresh meat either.

What's a girl s'posed to survive on?

Oh well, another boiled egg it is then....... Laughing

We caught 1 in the humane trap and Coco and I released it in another location. The local policeman has despatched 1, Mr Kathy has despatched 1 and we think there is 1 left now. They are just babies and managed to get in when the gate was left open, the whole garden has rabbit proof netting and wall around it which we've checked.

They are very strange rabbits. They ate the peas and some of the parsley but haven't touched anything else, even the baby lettuce. Confused

So what happened to the ones Mr Kathy and the copper slaughtered?

Were they killed humanely?

How were they disposed of?

Just curious.
Kathy

I've got no idea what happened to them Lloyd, but I was assured they were killed humanely.

Ah. I had memories of Nanny curing hides and thought you might have done the same.
Kathy

Pretty wee hides Lloyd, might have made a decent thong though! Wink
