Aloe VeraAfter picking up a piping hot iron with both hands trying to work out where to pour in water for steam (forgetting that I had already switched it on ), my left hand was quite fried last night.
I have had it wrapped in very thin slivers of fresh aloe vera all last night and today. This evening, the blistering and pain has almost all vanished.
Good stuff.
Worth having a plant on a windowsill somewhere

Ouch CP, just as well you had the Aloe Vera. I haven't grown any for a while but do keep the gel in the house. I'll have another go with a plant when we move (the things I'm going to do "when we move"!)

Now, to be deadly serious folks......
My hand was full of blisters. "£$$%& painful. Now all I have is some slightly dry skin.
