anti packaging......this week i was accosted by a member of staff at tesco,my crime?,taking off all the un usefull packaging and leaving it at the checkout.i explained that it was bad enough that i should have to pay for the unnecessary packaging in the first place and then be charged by the council for them to take it away! the chap realy couldnt get his head round it,it was a bit like ,oh theres nothing in the checkout manuall about this situation!
so why dont you guys do the same when you go shopping,take a basket for the vegies and leave the plastic and cardboard there!maybe theyll get the message !!!!

I remember reading about this a few years ago, Sweden I think it was, all the customers stuck together and the supermarkets soon got fed up having to pay for all the waste disposal. They then reduced all the unnecessary packaging.

every now and then i do silly thing like this! pro active i think its called! some years ago when a biker i organised a demmo over the hamble bridge charging bikes to cross,so i got 150 bikes to go through all paying in two's and one's! and when iveryone was hrough we did it again and again till the plod turned up,we argued that the constabulary had no say on the number of times you could use a bridge ! he shrugged his shoulders and said it was our money! braught southampton to its knees!
