apple sauce recipie please

I want to do some apple sauce in jars
can i just make my normal apple sauce (just apple little water and sugar0 and jar it or do i need something else??

My jams are made that way, but I guess it depends on how hot it is to preserve it. I think that the amount of sugar is the factor that preserves it.

Have a house full arriving so can't look it up. I am sure that it would be fine in the fridge for a while.

I'm not sure how to do it in jars, all my apple sauce is frozen into small portions for later use.

I do it frozen to, but i m getting prepared for christmas !!!!
i do hampers etc for family and friends, so to go with our superb pork want some apple sauce.
Also can i use eating apples, just been given a whole box full, dont want to waste them.

It will require sterilizing if you wish to keep it in jars, as it hasn't the sugar to preserve it. Sterilize very slightly unscrew the top and put into a bath of hot water ,bring it up to a slight simmer and keep at that temperature foe 20 mins. Wink
