Autumn SwapI wondered if anyone would be interested in an autumn swap??
If so, what sort of swap, crafty gift, bulbs, bought gift, knitted item, crochet item, sewn item, soap, candle, plant the list is endless so make a suggestion.

Me I like purple and pink but I know its not everyones cup of tea so, autumn colours sounds good to me.

No never to late to join in Dragonfly.
I had a thought why don't we combine the two, purple and autumn, we could do purple & red. It makes me think of this poem
Poem called 'Warning'
When I am an old woman I shall wear purple
With a red hat which doesn't go, and doesn't suit me.
And I shall spend my pension on brandy and summer gloves
And satin sandals, and say we've no money for butter.
I shall sit down on the pavement when I'm tired
And gobble up samples in shops and press alarm bells
And run my stick along the public railings
And make up for the sobriety of my youth.
I shall go out in my slippers in the rain
And pick the flowers in other people's gardens
And learn to spit.
You can wear terrible shirts and grow more fat
And eat three pounds of sausages at a go
Or only bread and pickle for a week
And hoard pens and pencils and beermats and things in boxes.
But now we must have clothes that keep us dry

It has to be done and at the recipient for opening on 22nd November.
As to what, it can be anything crafty, sewing, knitting whatever.
As to what, well I think we are still deciding, currently the favourites (correct me if I'm wrong) is a theme of colours either autumn or purple! Hence my purple and Red poem!!!

Kathryn and I have had a lovely time with bits of paper with names on picking them out of a hat to get partners. I have Pm'd everyone so you all know who your partners are, some are missing addresses, but as soon as I get them I shall forward them on

This morning I feel completely overwhelmed and moved to tears.
The postman just delivered a parcel for me and not knowing what it was I opened it straightaway. I really can't put into words how touched I feel for being included and receiving so many beautiful gifts. A parcel that I will never forget receiving.
Thank you so much to you all, I feel truly blessed to have such lovely friends.
I can't express how I feel, words can be inadequate sometimes.

Well in that case.......................
My parcel
and inside
a most beautiful and handwoven scarf which is toasty and warm I know cos I tried it tonight.
and a pot of soothing chamomile skin cream which I tried on the back of my hand and is glorious being sucked up by the skin and smells heavenly.
I know who my swop partner is cos I organised it, so thank you very very much Kathy they are gorgeous, I love the scarf, the colours and the texture and the cream is divine, I keep having a smell of it. The back of my hand is soft and smooth now, so I can't wait to use it for real.

I'm useless at that sort of thing I'm afraid.
I had a very gorgeous hat which actually fits! I take kids size in riding hats so find hats hard to get.I'll attempt to get a photo later

I have opened a beautiful decoupaged tin box.
It has the words seeds and herbs on it, and there is a lovely selection of seeds in there too.
I have no idea who sent it, but it is wonderful, so thank you.
The photo doesn't do the colours justice, so I may take another one tomorrow in the daylight, but you can get the idea.

I would be grateful on your feedback for the bracelet, what you liked, didn't like. could have been done better etc.
I have been mastering the technique of knitting with wire and you are the only person apart from my daughters I have made something for. So be brutal if necessary. As I would really like to move this forward.
