B....y car.

I have had a new car now for 2 weeks. I have been trying to check up with the insurance company if i am insured as i havn't had my policy, probably due to post strike. When i check the registration no. i find that the plates are wrong.!!!!! Never in all my days have i had this problem before. It should read KY and reads KV, so i frantically try to get in touch with the dealer, who demands me to take the car back tomorrow, and i have had to tell the insurance company, as i'm sure that this is somebody els's no. plate!!! Embarassed Oh dear i don't believe i never checked it. Embarassed Embarassed

My dad had a car with one number on the front and another on the back, where some one had bashed into his back and a new number was put on, and no one noticed for months. Confused

I'm sure it's not. It's a brand new car. If it was an older one then i would have been VERY worried, as regards to just a little bit.

Yes thanks browneyes. I went to the dealer today, but i think i will also give headoffice a nice e mail or letter, as it could have been a nasty situation.

That happened to hubby when he got his brand new motorbike, the registration document had a different number on it to the bike, what a palarva! But it all turned out all right in the end and wasn't too difficult to sort, the registration document got sent back to DVLA via Kawasaki and came back all correct!!!! Very Happy

Mine wasw easy to sort out but the dealer made me cross. He demanded i take it in the next day, and made me feel as though it was my fault. I have a questionaire to fill in, so i will say on that how unhappy i was. I have already sent an e mail, with no reply as yet.
