This was checked today, it tastes like whiskey with a kick like a mule!
Is this normal or will the taste change with time?

Here is the recipe and I'm afraid theres not much left! (My family will vouch that I'm not really much of a drinker so it must be good! )

Bananas 4lb (ripe or even black)
Raisins 1/2 lb (chopped)
Sugar 3lb (I used brewing sugar)
1 lemon
1 orange
Water 1gal
yeast and nutrient

Slice the bananas, including the skins into a straining bag or wrap in clean cloth. Immerse this in the water in a large pan. Bring to the boil and simmer for 30 mns. Pour the hot liquid over the sugar in the fermenting bucket. Add the juice from the lemon and orange and stir well untill all the sugar is dissolved. Squeeze all the juice out of the straining bag as soon as it is cool enough to do so and stir. Once it has cooled to room temperature, add the chopped raisins, yeast and nutrient. Cover and ferment for 1 week, stirring well everyday.
Syphon into demijohn and fit an airlock. Rack after 1 month and at least once more before bottling, until it is clear. (I didn't bother bottling mine as I have plenty of demijohns). Age for at least 6 mths before drinking.
For those who wish to, initial S.G. 1.090, stabilise at 1.000 (I didn't do this as I have never managed to work out what it all means).

I found this recipe on the Internet but can't remember where, thanks anyway to wherever it came from!!
