Bench mounted disc grinder

I wsa given an antique one, non functional. It has a sharpening stone one side and a grinding wheel the other. I rewired it today, and it now works again. I've sharpened spades, axes, chisels etc and now need to think of other uses for it: Any ideas?

works for shaping wood and sanding as well .. or mine does lol. put a polishing wheel ( from shoe repair shops ) and urt shoes wil look like mirrors .. dont tell the scouts tho Wink wire whel for derusting .... wear safety gear for all you do on it tho mate Wink

Shaping wood...now you've given me thoughts. I have some seasoned oak in the garage.............

great for shaping and polishing deburring metal

Going to try it on Sunday for shaping and fabricating panels to weld onto the kid's kitcar, replacing corroded areas in the floorpans.

Over a year later, it is still the business for sharpening spades, axes, etc.  Very Happy

Golly yes, makes digging so much easier if you do.
