Someone mentioned Borax in the Caustic soda thread so thought I'd point out that boots are stopping the supply of Borax in their stores as "no-one uses it anymore",coco and I were going to make our own soap powder but cant find any. Does anyone know anywhere else that sells it?

the last lot of Borax I bought from Boots was on the reduced to clear shelf, they don't stock it anymore now at our local store and I haven't found anywhere else that does, so I'm back to using Ecover again. I think I found some online but postage makes it too costly.

It must just be regional variations, when I went to buy borax the lady looked at me liked I'd asked for explosives or something. Guess i'll be sticking to Ecover for a while longer...

Yes, I'm still looking, found it on Ebay too, £5 free P&P. There must be somewhere that sells it at a reasonable price!!

Maybe if we contacted boots kathy and explained what we use it for, If they say no, then at least we'll know for certain.
