Nice shade of blue, you forget how pretty some of these "beasties" can be until you see them close up! Laughing

Looks very posh - must have cost a bit - but whatever the cost it was worth it for the photos you get.

Do you digitally enhance the colours with software on your computer - again if you do so, it is brilliantly done. I love the way that you put 'frames' around them and 'write' on them, what software do you use for that.

Your photos never fail to take my breath away, really awesome in the true meaning of the word
GREENWIZARD

sometimes i mess about with them(those ones haven't been touched ....just pure luck) but mostly i use the software microsoft picture it 9 to add the frames & text
& the camera is not an expensive one
lloyd

I think the camera is the newer version of mine. Much better quality results though. Mine's 4 mega pixels too, however, so maybe the problem is with me rather than my cam.
Kathy

It's not always the megapixels that make the camera a good one. The lens, the onboard software, etc all make a difference, so maybe not your fault after all Lloyd! Smile
mrsnesbitt

I can't take close - ups with mine.
It may be me!
Do I need to read the manual?

Powershot A85 Canon.

Denise from what I can read your camera does have a macro facility, make sure it is turned on, if mine is switched off then the camera will not focus on close up photos. Also, make sure you don't zoom in too much, my macro won't function if I zoom in too much, better to physically get close up to your subject rather than using the zoom to get close up.
Kathy

I've been reading some reviews for your camera Mrs Nesbitt and there is a macro setting that allows you to take fairly reasonable shots.

Quite a bit of info here, but you'll probably find loking through the manual for the macro settings would help!! Smile
