Libby I printed out the pattern,but what are stitch markers? I can knit but don't understand that bit. |

You can find stitch markers here http://www.angelyarns.com/yarn/stitch.php but you may also find them on Ebay! Basically when it says 'place stitch marker' you slide one on your righthand needle!

2 x 2 rib is easy aqui, its k 2 stitches, purl 2 stitches, then knit 2 more, purl 2 more and so on.......

What bit are you stuck with Aqui? I'll rewrite the first few rows, tell me if it makes it any clearer.
Cast on 120 stitches Row 1: knit 2 purl 2 all the way to the end (rib) Row 2: knit 2 purl 2 rib all the way along then stop before you knit the last 2 stitches and turn your work. Row 3: Slip 1, knit 1, purl 2, place a stitch marker then knit 2 purl 2 rib and stop before you work the last 2 stitches, turn your work. Let me know if this makes sense before I type any more!
