Cheese Press

Well, my mystery purchase is a cheesepress.  I've been hankering after one for many a year and have finally succumbed to a moment of frivolity  Shocked

Can't remember the last time I got so naughty with an order, I don't tend to do shopping so when the parcel arrived today Lloyd was FORBIDDEN to go near it because I WANTED TO OPEN IT MYSELF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, the kitchen table is now covered in cheesemaking equipment and mystery packets along with a book.  But where is the idiots step by step guide to get me going????  Do I have a clue where to start?

Um no.

So if anyone has any ideas at all, answers on a postcard please.

Nansters, once you have a cheesepress it makes sense to have goats doesn't it............   Cool

Very envious down here in this household but I keep saying to myself, "would I actually use it?"

I have allowed myself the ice cream attachment for my Kenwood and have yet to use that so don't think I would get away with sneaking anything else in just yet.

I don't need permission, I just need enough land........

Same here   Very Happy   Most of the farms around here are rented from Swindon BC, which means the farmers are not allowed to sublet a field to me   Sad

Still one day I will find a bit of land close enough to home, so that even in bad weather I can still get to the field and all at a sensible price.

Have you put the cheese press together and had a fiddle yet?
Cabbagepatch

cheese starter has been in the airing cupboard for the last 24 hours...
Kathy

Ooooooo!!

..............And now in fridge until the morning, when we make cheese at last............ Very Happy  Very Happy  Very Happy  Very Happy
