Christmas Panto 2008

As in the last three (?) years, Nanny has again showed a willingness to step into the breach and script write and organise the Shed Panto. However we need, at fairly short order, to know who is up for it, and what dates they are not available.

Answers on a postcard please........... Very Happy
lloyd

I'm in. Smile
Jacky

Cabbagepatch

aggie, you just watch this space.........
lloyd

Aggie, go to "View posts since last visit", and click on the other Christmas Panto" thread. All details there.
Becki

As long as I'm not working.
Kathy

Aggie, a few large drinks are mandatory, oh yes, and being able to play more than one part at a time, you might end up talking to yourself!  Laughing
alison

yes please Very Happy
Libby

I'm not very good at this sort of thing, thats why I haven't done it before  Rolling Eyes
Cabbagepatch

Oh go on Libby its good fun.

Nanny usually ends up having a nervous breakdown after trying to keep us all in order.... Laughing
lloyd

Here's an example of it, ....all 38 pages of it!!

god did we really do that ?

i can't remember

must have been the subsequent breakdown that has erased my memory
Kathy

Shocked  Shocked Did we really do that, no wonder Nanny had a breakdown.
Jacky

Do you sort of make up your own script as you go along but in keeping with the story  Shocked

Oh my, I think I will need to get my family on board to help me   Laughing  Laughing

The typing is not the problem, it's trying to be funny - right now   Confused   Confused  Rolling Eyes

Kind of. Nanny usually keeps us more or less in line, and if that doesn't work she sips a glass of Ardbeg and sighs deeply. Laughing

I have the same problem, bit slow you see  Rolling Eyes
Aqui

i might be able to join, depending on the little man.
nanny-now and forever

it really isn't difficult once you have a glass or two in your hand....the only problem is people's pooters tend to be slow so it takes them a while to put their lines on

and some other people sometimes disappear and have ice cream.... Rolling Eyes

lloyd

Ok so how about a Friday night then, maybe halfway through the month?...ish? Very Happy
Becki

Count me out for a Friday then. I have to work.
lloyd

Only a suggestion Becki.

Why don't you suggest a night? Very Happy
Becki

Any night but Friday, Saturday or Sunday.
lloyd

Cool. So what does everyone else fancy as their ideal night for an evening online silly panto? Very Happy
Kathy

Any night except 18th ( I do live the highlife up here!).
alison

I'm fairly easy.  No social life here at all! Wink
nanny-now and forever

due to circumstances i can't do the nights of the 14-17th december i am afraid

that's 4 nights i shall be out.....

pressures of work don't you know
Cabbagepatch

As the bright young things I currently work alongside would say "This is mission critical so I'll check my Blackberry for a window of opportunity.  Obviously I'm pushed for time and have a lot hanging on me finding blue sky scenarios and cool ideas to bring to the table."

OK, any night is good for me!!
lloyd

I'll fit in with everyone else. Just need someone to make a decision, NANNY Wink  Laughing
nanny-now and forever

ok it's time i took an executive decision here.....

i can do either the 18th or 19th of december

i shall plump for the 18th

have we had any other ideas other than peter pan about which i know nothing?

if not then peter pan it is....

get the alcohol in and prepare yourselves.......

you see

i can be assertive when i want to be

just ask mr nanny..................... Cool
lloyd

I think it would be fun to redo Cinderalla.

What do you think?

cp's just saying how about a nursery rhyme type thing, like the wolf that blows down the three little piggies house or suchlike?
nanny-now and forever

how would that work?

a regular panto that would be in rhyme?

don'think a rehash of an old one would work, has to be a new one i think...more spontaneity

i could look up peter pan on that website called "he's behind you" and see if it is on there....that's where i read the other ones

any other views?

come along now ....don't be shy, it really isn't difficult
Cabbagepatch

whichever night and whichever panto.  i shall be there. in full costume of course.

let me know soon please so i can brush up on my lines..... Laughing
lloyd

I'm up for anything anytime  Nanny. You know that. Very Happy
Libby

Aladdin?
Kathy

OH NO, can we have the 19th, the 18th is the ONLY night I'm going out...........................
Becki

I will be working, but don't worry about me I'm sure I'll get to a panto one year. Smile
nanny-now and forever

ok, i will replump for the 19th...i thought we were going to be at another one of millie's engagements but that is a day time on on the 19th so i will be free

so the 19th and i will investigate both of those  pantos when i get a spare moment (she said, laughing)
lloyd

Good good, so are we all replumping for the 19th or what?
nanny-now and forever

the 19th of december.....

is mthat ok with everybody else?

maybe eveen becki?
lloyd

Fine with us two, Nansters.
Kathy

Very Happy  Very Happy
Becki

No, it's a Friday and I have to work Sad
Kathy

Oh b******s Becki, what time do you finish?
Becki

23.30 or 0.30 if it shuts at midnight Laughing
Kathy

Rolling Eyes  Rolling Eyes It's likely that Nanny will have had her yearly breakdown by then...........................
nanny-now and forever

oh becki

can't you throw a sickie for one night?

swap a rest day?
Becki

They won't let me swap, it's too near Christmas. I need to save my 'sickie' days I'm afraid, incase Mark can't get back one day. It dosn't matter, I'm sure I'll make it one year Smile
