Soap opera...............Lloyd you can be the villain who woos all the local women then leaves them high and dry, crying into their mugs of tea. But we'd need a "goody two shoes" male as well then won't we? Are there any insane women, we'd need quite a few of those...........................

i am thinking of a sort of a plot but it has to be a broad and well open plot

frankly CP i think most of us can do the insane woman perfectly - even some of the men can do that perfectly

I'll be a snail, or the postie. I don't mind which, unless there are lots of ducks (so I'd rather postie), or vicious dogs (snail may be safer).

i don't think i have ever seen a smail in a sop opera

not even in neighbours and they have most things i think.....................

they certainly have people who change heads when they come back as themselves after a terrible accident

and no i don't watch it but it used to be on in the rest room at work.................

however perhaps you could be an illegitimate snail coming home to try and find it's real mother after having a terrible argument with you adoptive snail and quitting the child hood shell.......................

course it'll take you so long to get to the set, the show might be over by the time you are ready to deliver your line....................

Who is writing the script?.....I like the idea of a snail being a character.........If its a soap, will it be depressing though?....all the ones on telly make me want to squeeze throats!

Nanny is the script writer, in very general terms I suppose as soap is supposed to be like real life isn't it, make it up as you go along? Laughing

rwr, its going to be great. last year we did a panto with nanny in charge. it was hysterically funny although we haven't seen jack since. apparantly he's still wandering ainlessly along a lane somewhere. Laughing

I'll be the neighbours cat, that way I don't have to say much and I can be very independent and only perform when I want to, I can snub everyone if I choose or I can be friendly and demand attention if I feel that way Laughing

last year the animals in the panto had quite a lot of lines one way and another

so are we plumping for the 22nd?

i think that from maybe 8-9.30 again will mena tht it won't go on for too long

but as i say, you lot choose the day as my dance card is completely open for the season................

Lyn, as Nanny says there will be a very "loose" script with lots and lots of ad libbing. You sort of choose the part you want to play and try to follow the cues.

22nd is my 28th wedding anniversary so perhaps the script could include a celebration that sort of degenerates..........loosely of course...............
