December PhotoAny ideas on what we should do? Its only 16 days away?
How about 24 or so different pictures one for each day like an advent calander but with a theme? Would that be to difficult to do?

a different one for each day, I know it would mean alot of work for you, but I'm just trying to think of something different, that might spark peoples imagination

on the knitting forum that I met dragonfly on they do an advent calander of a hunk a day. I'm not sure thats appropriate for on here, but we could do an advent thread divide the 24 days of December out between us and we each post a pic on the thread of ????? whatever we decide as our theme, on our day.
So for example there are 24 days and say 8 of us willing to participate then we each get 3 days to post a pic!
Does that make sense?

I don't mind doing the work Libby, I just couldn't work out the logistics of it.
So it works something like I'll maybe do the first three days, someone else does the next three days and so on? PM to me as usual then a poll?

Something like that, or to do something a bit different we could have I suppose a New thread or section in the darkroom called Advent Calander 2008 where we , having picked the days we are available to post would then post are pic as a new post each day, for instance December 1st would go in 'New post' with comments in 'post reply' therefore leaving room to comment. Then December 2nd would then go in 'New post', under same thread etc etc. So as you open up the Advent calander thread the posts would read Dec 1st, Dec 2nd, Dec 3rd etc etc
As nice as hunk a day is, I didn't think it was fair on our one and only male and he is so much fun, I love it when he posts, and to be honest in some ways we need to be encouraging the men in here not scaring them off plus ithe idea would have been pinched from another forum and I don't want to do that.
Let me know what you think, if you don't want to do it thats fine, I'm just trying to come up with new ideas and am open to suggestions

The hunk of the day is fun
But I like this idea to, happy to participate and be told what day to stick a photo up, perhaps names in a hat job, if someone is happy to do that bit.
