Equipment needed for soap makingSafety:
Goggles
Rubber gloves
Moulds (I usually use plastic food trays and then cut up the soap when it's set, although you can buy proper moulds)
Accurate kitchen scales (I have digital ones which I find are the best to use)
Large saucepan - must be enamel or stainless steel (Not iron or aluminium as it will react)
Heatproof measuring jug or bowl
2 plastic spatulas (one to stir oils, one for sodium hydroxide)
2 sugar thermometers (same as above - you can do it with one, but it's a lot more complicated and I like an easy life!)
Measuring spoons (if using essential oils, honey, flowers, spices etc)
That's it. Really there's not a lot that we don't all have!

I save pringles packets, or dried milk tubs. Once set they can be pealed off the soap, and sliced.

Does anyone still eat pringles?....Their fat content is so high they make great fire lighters! (try it, it's true!!)
