Post here with a list of your likes and dislikes to give your swap partner some subtle (or not so subtle) clues......
n
What do you not like to eat?
eggs, (yes, and I know I have chickens, but a sloppy egg is just yeuchhhh, same goes for milk puddings, porridge.
What is your favourite colour?
If I'm wearing it, soft olivey greens, if I am looking at it, the brighter the better of almost anything.
What is your favourite fruit?
cherries and raspberries

Kathy
I really don't have any dislikes as regards colour and fragrances. I don't like chemically type smells, air freshener, fabric softener, that type of thing. I'm a vegetarian and only use soaps without animal oils/not tested on animals. I do eat eggs as long as I know where they've come from, (ethical). I'm a "buxom" size so aprons, gloves, hats etc need to be a larger size!
Leonie2
Food I'm not fussy, but I don't particularly like lemon curd, I like all jams, pickles, preserves.
Colours, I tend to favour blues and pinks both in their pale, muted and bright forms. I like most colours but I tend to not wear orange because I don't think it suits me and for wearing I prefer quiet tones of colour, not too many bold/loud colours.
Fragrance, I like the smell of lavender and rosewood but as subtle scents, not too strong.
I don't wear jewellery apart from my wedding rings.
As most of you know I love gardening and I enjoy cooking, I do a bit of reading, knitting, sewing.
Becki
I like most colours but my fav is pink.
What is your favourite Animal?
mine is horses (Kathy didn't post one last time so it's still on my wanted list )
And dogs (I am about to have 2 gorgeous Springer Spaniel Puppies)
What is your favourite flower?
Ilike seet peas and fuscias
What is your hobby?
Mine is horse riding and card making
I like most foods, but nothing too unusual
mrutty

Stress and hardwork
Haize
How very classy of you, mrutty
I like all jams and otherwise sweet things, do like a lot of pickles, but nothing too vinegary.
Favourite colours are purpley blues and greeney blues (probably not together though...). And, of course, blue. Of course, as we've not decorated yet, there'd be nothing to clash with anyway
Actually, one of my favourite colours is wood. Not really just one colour, but definately a favourite.
Hobbies would be cooking and craft stuff.
I like Lisianthus and Love-in-the-mist.
Hohum.
My doctor says I have to relax more, if that helps? Hehe.

My favorite animal is a horse, then dog then cat (shhhhh, don't tell Poppy )
Favorite flower, too hard to choose, I like all flowers especially those with a fragrance but not too keen on carnations
Favorite fruit....hmmmm difficult one, I prefer vegetables but fruit would be strawberries I guess.
alison
Ok
I love the blues and purple colours, and am not keen on the orange, ginger type ones.
Hobbies are cooking and craft, and pc!
I have 3 children and a hectic time on the farm, so like to relax and have a bit of me time sometimes.
My favourite flowers are fushias, lavender and freshias.
I will eat most things!

I need to know if you (everyone)
wear glasses (yes, for reading only, I'm at that age where you see ladies in Tesco holding packets of this and that at arm's length to try and read the labels)
have long or short hair (short, blonde, occasionally spiky)
what size your feet are (6-7, and wide, birkenstock feet!)
What size your head is (ordinary sized for a person of 5'3". I asked this in case anyone is handstitching lloyd a top hat!)
What colour is your living room (white, the whole house is predominantly white, dark blue sofa, scarlet curtains)
What colour is your bedroom (white! white bedlinen, but with one bitter chocolate wall)
That'll do for now
n
Haize
Don't wear glasses.
Have long hair.
Size 5 1/2 feet.
Erm, smallish head. One hat I have says 57cm on it somewhere...
Living room will be cream and pale blue.

Hohum, this may be absolutely irrelevant, but what is everyone's favourite shape of glass jar?
e.g. hexagonal, tall skinny ones like for oils, wibbly sided ones, and so on.
Mine would be hexagonal.

All jars appeal.

Janr, preserving type jar which might be used for storing buttons for example.
I have amended my questions with answers.
Anyone allergic to dogs or cats? I'm fine with both.
Leonie2

Guest
well there are hints and there are hints!!!

I like all things natural, no chemicals, preservatives or pretend scents. Any colours to wear but drifting towards muted greens, autumn shades.
Size..12, 5'2" but with Lloyds cooking heading rapidly for a 14!
Fingerless gloves, aprons, traycloths.
kingsize patchwork quilts, jack russel puppy, smallholding.. not too bad...
Jars, hexagonal or tall and slim. Any preserves but not too spicy.
Flowers and scents: gentle cottage garden.
Garden manure (no...please don't)
Really, this is very difficult, anything that someone has taken the time and trouble to think about, make and send would be wonderfully appreciated.

my sentiments exactly!
n
Anything at all will be appreciated. Gill made me a bag for the last swap with flowers appliqued on it and a little golden butterfly. It is used every week for the shopping as it's really strong, and is now part of the family!
I think part of the fun is to ask lots of outlandish questions because it might spark off an idea for someone else, and it hides the trail.
My swapee will be completely unaware that he/she is getting dual purpose hand embroidered wellies which double as waterproof headgear and can be worn in bed without clashing with the wallpaper.
