Well I'll say what I've given and received in other swaps if that helps.
I've received, a gardening apron (home made) with seeds and plant markers in the pockets. Home made dried flowers tied into net bags (I'm still using them). Home made cream and soap. I've given, hand woven scarves and I think the first one was a knitted hat. Greenman has received handknitted socks and given a framed photo. I remember someone receiving a selection of handmade cards. If you're not "crafty at all, then there are lots of inexpensive handmade gifts that can be purchased, and I'm sure most of us here know someone who makes things. As I said it's the thought that counts and the fun of guessing who your partner was.

Becki, when I did the swap I included myself and I got Mr Kathy to do the names. I had to help when latecomers got included and then there were special requests not to pair certain people as they'd had each other before.
Can I suggest that everyone that wants to be included PMs Becki, so she has a full list of names and also, we should have a closing date for that. Also, if you are "in" it's nice if all the presents are posted in good time for the opening day. The last swap some of us were left sitting with unopened parcels for quite a while (agony!) while others were left wondering if theirs would arrive at all!

I used to be a dressmaker and could make wedding dresses and tutus no problem,but since retiring I have just lost all interest in sewing,I think it's because I had to do so much of it the fun wasn't there anymore

yep that sounds about like me Jojo i used to make all my own things and my daughters years ago but it takes me a week to think about putting a zip in now,im into cross st at the moments i like to do the "All our yesterdays" ones has anyone heard of them? so for iv done 7 and am halfway through a big one of two children in a field of poppys. |

I never got into cross st although a friend of mine has done some lovely work,I know what you mean about doing things like zips,I had to force myself to take up some trousers I had bought for christmas,anyway got them done,I am sitting here with one eye closed because I put some face cream on and some has gone in my eye and it hurts I could be a pirate tonight I need an eye patch

Don't know why it has to be an even number anyway? We always do a Secret Santa at work and odd/even doesn't matter as everyone has a name to buy for regardless. |
