Fingerless MittsI did just post this pattern on the daily chat page but thought it would be useful posting it here. It's the one I usually use but I sometimes change bits of it (like my baking!). Perhaps a much longer rib so it comes further up the arm. Leave out the pattern and do different kind of rib, things like that.

I've got a pair a bit like that, with no fingers at all, but not with the fancy cabled bit.
I must finish the Christmas knitting list first.....

Thanks Kathy I have printed of some copies,will it work with double knit wool do you think? I thought i would take some in to the ladies who knit gloves for the shoebox appeal

I've used it with lots of different wools, just adjust your needle size accordingly.
The pair I just finished was with wool that was just a little too fine so they were a bit "gappy", I got Mr Kathy to put them on then I semi felted them round his hands, they turned out really well but I've given them to the recipient now and forgot to take a photo.
