Mr Kathy now has an electric spinner and being male he wants to modify it.
It has a variable speed motor with a control knob that also goes in reverse, and a seperate on/off switch. He wants to attach a foot pedal that, controls the speed, in conjunction with being able to set a max speed with the control knob it has at the mo, if possible.
He has written to Ashford the makers of the machine, this is the reply:
We used to supply a foot control as an accessory (but stopped after it became too expensive). There is a remote possibility your model has the attachment for the controller. If so, you could purchase a Singer sewing machine foot control, and with the help from an electrician, fit the accessory. If the attachment is not present, I am sorry it will not be possible.
He has access to various foot pedals but is not sure whether he should be looking for an electrician or perhaps someone that knows about circuit boards. Can you help him to ask the right questions Mark, or even if this would be possible.
I've heard stories that you are pretty good with electronics and things!

That white cable needs to be wired up to the foot pedal. I'd strip the white cover back and use a figure 8 power connector to join it all together.
