Toss anything that is looking like a science experiment. Check what you need and write it on your shopping list.
Wipe over the shelves, and the sides of the cabinet, and put everything back, remembering that raw meat and fish goes at the bottem, and cooked at the top.

I once threw away the box I kept the cheese in because I just couldn't bring myself to open the lid... 
I'll do this tonight....clean the fridge that is, not throw away the cheese box, which is perfectly acceptable at the moment

What do you use to steralise your newly cleaned fridge?

I wring out a cloth with some bi carb and water on, which helps get rid of any yucky smells too.
