Friday 25th September

The bad news>>>> I went to two Lidl's and all the wood burning tools had gone  Sad

The good news>>>> K is coming home for the weekend!!!  Very Happy  Very Happy

The bad news>>>> cos she's coming home I have to do more housework Rolling Eyes

The good news>>> I will have help to sort out and bubblewrap the greenhouse as it was 2C this morning

I could go on with good news and bad but I think you may get bored!!!
Oh by the way at Lidl (for those who like arty crafty) they had blank 2010 calanders that you decorate yourself with drawings, sticky things or photos. My girls wanted some as they where £2.99 for 2 for Crimbo pressies!

They had some at our's Libby do you want me to see if there's any left and post it to you?

Morning all  Very Happy

It's a lovely day here today but I only had half a walk with the dogs (I actually didn't wake up until 6.15 - this is pretty late for me!).  However, I have the afternoon off so I can get another walk in then, between the housework...we have grandbabies 1 and 3 coming to stay tomorrow night, so cleaning opportunities will be limited and the house is a mess ...

I'm hoping against hope that I'm going to find out whether or not I still have a job this morning - I just can't believe it's taken this long....

Have a great day everyone  Very Happy
Kathy

Morning all.

I can check out my Lidls too Libby, there are a few branches near me, let me know.  Smile

Sunny, with a chill wind this morning, makes me want to go horse riding again, my favourite weather for riding!

Weeding today but nothing else planned, enjoy your afternoon off Lizzie.  Smile

Well it's finally happened!  I AM being made redundant and now we're just waiting to see what the legal bods say about notice - in theory, I'm due 7 weeks notice but I'd quite like to forego that if I can without scuppering any insurances etc.  We shall see....

Either way, I'll be a lady of leisure before Christmas  Very Happy

nanny-now and forever

oh well lizzie, as you say, at least you know now...take the money and run is my motto i am afraid....

awol last night, sorry chaps, had to go to a meeting thingee in the village

not such a bad day yesterday, went to do a home visit  over the other side of cross hands and did some shopping on the way home then in the afternoonmr nanny did some work with a horse that is going home tomorrow in a trailer we have borrowed and he wanted to make sure it won't take us all day tomorrow to load her...

then about 5pm a coiuple of horses that are here in livery for a fortnight arrived..it was a last minute thing, the people are going on holiday and the person who was supposed to look afte rthe horses let them down so they came here...

today was coleg work experience day so i got on with 'pooter work, i had a list of stuff to do so i goto on with that.......the afternoon was for riding in the school on ebony and they put a saddle on chance....looks like swhe has been used for riding the way she took to it...we will let the young but very horsey volunteer have a ride on her as well as ebony on sunday just to see the score, then if she is ride-able we will start to really get chance into condition again...it was good ....

tomorrow mr nanny is taking the two horses home on the way to somewhere else where he trims a couple of horses....a busy day tomorrow as well then....
mogs

i had a call from a lady asking if my ex-racehorse is still for sale. wondered how she knew about him as he is not advertised yet, and it turns out she is a friend of a friend......lol...
so she is coming today to have a look at him.
she actually lives in oxford, but is going to bridgend to see her sister, so is calling in on the way.

he is a darling, so gentle and kind for a thoroughbred, but he is partially sighted, tho you would nver know it.

so fingers crossed he might be having a new home soon.   Wink

had a really good tidy up in the garden, used the pressure washer............lol......i was wet up to the knees, but a good job done.

next week i intent to tackle the back garden.......there is a small paved patio near the back door, where all the plants are in pots, and over the summer moss has grown on the north side of them, and there are rings on the slabs where they have been, so a good clean is needed, also thinking about moving the rotary line there, so have to take up a few slabs, actually i would quite like crazy paving there, so perhaps i could do that at the same time.........but you know what they say a about best laid plans.......lolol.
Kathy

Fingers crossed for your horse Mogs.  Smile
