This may take some time, as it very much depends on how many you have, so it is a challenge in 2 parts.
If, like me, you have loads of books, over a few short sessions, during the next 3 days I want you to slowly clear each shelf, one shelf at a time, wipe the top, dusty bits of the books and wipe the shelf, before finally putting the books back. Do this with a barely damp cloth, soas not to spoil any pages.
I have a new bookcase that I am sorting into, so I am moving mine too, and pulling some out that I no longer want, which will be entered onto Amazon.
If you have few books then I want you to do 15 decluttering. It can be anywhere, in your wardrobe, clothes that are taking up room that you will never wear again, or a filing cabinet, you know the places that need sorting in your life.
This challenge will stand for 3 days, and a new one will be added on Monday.

Fabulous - a task that a four year old can help with (we have grandbabies coming to stay this weekend...)

Bookcase needs to move room anyway, how convenient
Will be doing this at the beginning of next week I think, we're away for the weekend.

uh oh - this could take some time. We have three huge bookcases - much taller than me - overflowing with books. See you next year!

We have more bookcases than furniture so this may take some time . In 2 of the bedrooms the books are stacked 2 deep on all 4 shelves. Eldest son, OH and myself love reading, youngest son reads selectively and other son & daughter don't read. The eldest son lives away now and although he owns over 800 science-fantasy books a lot of them are still here or boxed at work
