Friday 6th November

Morning all  Very Happy

It's a beautiful morning here - the sunrise was amazing.  I've been out with the dogs and later I'm going to Mum and Dad's for lunch prior to taking Dad down to Newcastle for a hospital appointment.  Apart from that, not a lot on the agenda.  We're going out tomorrow night (which hardly ever happens) so I'm gathering my energy for that!

Have a great day everyone  Very Happy

Hello!
Volunteer day at the horse sanctuary where Coco is now working. Head groom says "Seeing as how we've got an extra person today we'll get those horses shifted." Those horses being the furthest away ones, in the steepest muddiest field. Managed to climb up there with only 2 hot flushes and 2 inhaler puffs only to be told my horse was "over there in that corner." The furthest away corner in a 20 acre field uphill.  Rolling Eyes Haltered up and walking back downhill (at bit easier I'm thinking), these old arthritic horses decided it was time to have fun. I managed a couple of nifty pirouettes and a run downhill in a mudbath, all without going a*** over tip. A fun day, lots of mucking out, feeding, sorting of rugs and in Nanny's words I'm now "shot to pieces!"  Laughing

I'm just waiting for the dinner to finish cooking now.

oh kathy, how i feel your pain

our fields are awash again, even the dogs are tippy- pawing when they go through the gates, it is awful....you'll soon be fit i am sure..had to laugh....

like i said, very wet here, seemed to be drier for a while then more rain about lunchtime so i got the goats in....did some 'pooter work this morning after a conflab with our volunteer wot is also a trustee about various things that are on the agenda....also did a load of phone calls and booked some appointments that are needed....managed to get a lot of a chapter of the pirate book on the screen and then lost some of it, damn and blast...

wretched computers, dont' know what it wrong with my big one upstairs but it is on a real go slow with facebook and e-mails at the moment....it just dropped out...

as mr nanny and i were on our own this afternoon, we had a look at the route for his sponsored ride next year, it is a big planning excercise and i am certain that we are going to be pushed for time....

My legs have gone to jelly today because I had an hour lesson for my NVQ. She does like trotting Laughing
I rode Samson in it but next time I'm taking Empress because she's so long in the body that she can't canter round the school without doing what's known in the trade as 'a wall of death' Laughing She's so, much fun. Laughing

I got called into work on Wednesday so that was a late night and the night before I had stayed up till 1.30am looking for an escaped hamster. by last night at the fireworks I was ready to die and went to bed at 20.00!

Hope everyone is ok x
