frozen food

Looking through my packed freezer, I find lots of things that have been in there for ages. Will they be ok still?

Soup (over a year old - veg)
home frozen veg (6 months plus)
bread/cakey things (over 6 months again)
Jellycat

None of that will do you any harm, although the bread might have gone a bit hard and nasty. I'd defrost it, make it into breadcrumbs and re-freeze for later use.

My parents once defrosted, cooked and ate a joint of pork that had been lurking in the bottom of their freezer for at least five years, and they're both still here to tell the tale... Laughing
Bovey Belle

My freezer(s) are filled with stuff like that. Sometimes the veg gets wizened from being frozen so long (I chuck it), you may get freezer burn on the meet but it is still OK to eat. My b-in-law has stuff in his freezer that have been there since Noah built the ark (and he's a pharmacist, so you think would worry about things like that!)
