--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just thought I would share this with you all. In the last few days I have been suffering from a lumbago type back pain in my lower back. Instead of using prescribed rememdies such as anti-inflammatories, I used a fresh ginger and dried cayenne poultice. I kept this on overnight and refreshed it the next day, within 24 hours my back pain was all but gone. If anyone wants any moe specifc info, dont hesitate to ask.

Right thats it, you two be for a plank walkin!

Ok , the details are:
1 tsp dried or fresh cayenne
2tsp fresh ginger
100ml oil (i used olive oil, but just use whatever oil you have)

Chop the herbs up very finely and cover them in oil, put this into a double boiler and leave to gently infuse for 3 hours. Remove from heat, bottle and voila, you have an excellent remedy for all sorts of aches and pains, such as sore joints, pulled muscles. In fact I think that nanny is using this on her dog who has musle spasms x

ok, just read back through this thread and realise it may be confusing! I used the poultice only once as it was awkward to put on with no one to help, so I made the oil with the same herbs as this is much easier to apply on your own! The poultice was cayenne and ginger mashed up into a paste with a little flour added to make it more adhesive, I pasted this onto the effected area and covered with a cotton pad and bandage.

hi there all

been awol for a few days

i did the oil greenlady and last night after he had a good run and looked like he was beginning to suffer for it i rubbed the oil in to both front and back leg muscles and he seemed to be a bit easier in his movements...i was pleased to notice that after the first lick he left it alone

he smelled a bit like no. 31 off the indian take away menu but if it works i don't mind

this was just the first test so we await to see what happens when he has a real attack....

what a tart!
