We have a really small garden. about 12ft square. but yesterday I came up
with, what I thought was , a very good idea, We were in Ikea yesterday, and they were selling these brightly coloured bags for growing things in, they were £1.99 each, and not very big.
I looked at them, and realised they were made from the same stuff as the bags you get at the till for 30p, and these are really big, and I thought , why not use them for growing vegetables in, I could put them anywhere, will this work ? and what could I grow in them ?

The big blue ones?? They will work although they may eventually rot away. You can grow practically anything that you would grow in a pot or a growbag, Tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, peas, french beans, flowers, salad leaves, spring onions, carrots, beetroot etc etc the list goes on.

Don't forget the early spuds ! And squash/courgettes ... you could grow brilliiant straight carrots! Each bag could have different soil content too so you can pader to the needs of different veg!
Look around for 'Patio Veg' seeds. They are usually smaller varieties and designed to grow in bags.

Wilkinsons have growing bags in green, but they`re £4.99 for 3, and they`re made of the same stuff as the ikea bags.
