Goose Eggs

My favourite breakfast is a soft boiled goose egg. Trouble is obtaining them. I have a friend who gives me an egg every now and then but a regular supply is hard to come by. Sainsbury's are now selling duck eggs which I buy but how I would love to be able to buy goose eggs as easy.

We used to get one or two occasionally from a friend who kept geese.  You will just have to have your own geese Ratman, and then you will have a permanent supply!

We have a lady who keeps geese, ducks and chickens just up the road I expect she has goose eggs.
Ducks eggs are quite strong aren't they, I believe they are really good for cakes. I've never had a goose egg are they strong too??

Goose eggs are about as good as an egg can get. Soft boiled for 9 mins the yolk is very rich and the consistency of cream. The flavour is unbelievable. I have kept my own chickens and a fresh egg is always nice, however a goose egg is the ultimate.
I like mine with fresh bread soldiers but the height of indulgence is to boil some fresh asparagus spears and dunk in the yolk.
If you ever have the opportunity to try a goose egg, believe me it will be worth it.
As I write this I have just eaten 2 duck eggs on toast. Very nice but still not as good as the goose.

They make a wonderful omlette too - one egg would feed both OH and I!

Well I shall have to go and see if she does sell them then!!!
