Well I've phoned up and checked the times and date and so tomorrow morning I am off to the far side of Truro to my firs ever Weavers, spinners and dyers guild. (Think that's what it's called )
So wish me luck. Hope someone can start me off with my fleece to either drop spindle it or prepare it to weave on my peg loom. Fingers crossed I'll let you all know how I get on.
Kathy
Oh thats exciting, I'm sure you'll have a great time.
Have you tried your peg loom yet?
TheGirlsMum
No not yet Kathy, OH had to adjust the holes for the warp thread first they weren't drilled properly, first excuse. Second, I'm not real confident about the fleece Ive got so hoping somebody tomorrow might help me with a big boot up the rear end.
Kathy
I'm sure you'll get lots of help, where did you get your fleece and do you know what kind it is?
TheGirlsMum
Had a reallygood time to day, met some really helpful people. Had my first ever go at spinning and got lots of differing advice on peg weaving. Speak more tomorow
TheGirlsMum
Kathy, the fleece was a washed variety that OH bought on ebay, no variety given, I can't wait until I can hire a wheel from the guild to have a practice on, haven't told OH yet tho!
