Handspun supersoft merino and silk

Spun by Mr Kathy, photos never do justice but this stuff is so soft and the colours are wonderful. I wanted a thick/thin yarn, I like the textured stuff, the light hank is for a summer scarf and the dark one a hat.

well done mr kathy......good to see it is not just us women who spin....lol....

thick and thin yarn is not as easy to do as some might think, a spinners  natural instincts tell us to spin evenly, so well done him..... Very Happy

did he buy a whole fleece or just tops or rolags?   sorry just being nosey.
Kathy

At the moment he is using rovings Mogs, he is meticulous about preparing and as you say finds it tricky not to spin a smooth yarn. The mulberry silk through it looks and feels wonderful, knits up well too so I've another hank waiting to be knitted up now.
It was actually Lloyd that started him off spinning by the way, a chance remark on a forum and that was him, a confirmed spinner!  Laughing

That looks beautiful Kathy, and well done Mr Kathy.

I have to confess to putting my spinning wheel away for a while, it didn't seem to approve of my spinning technique!

Ah, I wondered what had happened CP, you haven't spoken about it for while.  Laughing
