Headaches - prevention is better than cure - make sure you drink lots of water, avoid alcohol and caffeine, get lots of fresh air and reduce stress and strain. If you use the computer a lot - take lots of eye breaks. Do you need glasses? cure - lavendar.
PMT - avoid quick carbs like white bread and flour and sugar. Instead of chocolate have a banana or pineapple juice.

Thank you very much ladies. I don't have a recipe for feverfew tea, but my herb book suggests making a sandwich with leaves!!! I'll find out more if you want.

According to Jekka McVicar, eat 3 to 5 fresh leaves of feverfew between a slice of brown bread every day to reduce migraines. It is a very bitter leaf though so to make it more palatable you can add mint, marjoram or parsley. Do NOT eat more, and don't take if pregnant. It can cause mouth ulcers.
To make a tea or infusion the instructions are as follows: For a hot infusion, boil water, wait 30 seconds and then sprinke the herb onto the water to steep, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes, or until cool, or leave overnight. Remember to keep the container covered. Use a china, glass or enamel teapot or lidded pan, and use the purest water or bottled water you can obtain. Water with a high lime content (hard water) can prevent plants from fully releasing their active principles. Strain the infusion into a cup and drink it lukewarm or cool as a tea, though take it hot to break up a cold or cough. Drinks can be sweetened with honey or raw brown sugar to make them more palatable, or other herbs such as lemon verbena or spearmint can be added as long as their own theraputic effect is in sympathy with the desired result. Infusions should, if possible, be made fresh every day and unused portions can be refrigerated until needed, when it can be reheated in a glass or enamel pan.

what about period pain? Anyone got anything for that? All I know is a hot water bottle on stomach, but I'm not doing that in the office!

My sister used to take Evening Primrose tablets (I think that's what they were) but I've just put up with it over the years. Sometimes I suffer - sometimes I don't - but I've always found a hot water bottle to be the best thing I'm afraid Aqui.

When CP gets a migraine I make her Feverfew sandwiches with a small handful of leave chopped and mixed with green pesto. It is miraculous how fast it works!!
